What Does Success Mean To You?

The highs and lows in the journey of 'making it'.

Now, for many success means having a nice luxurious house, a car, wealth and some other things that make you look 'rich' and hence 'successful'. But is that it is?

At its core, I would say success is about finding purpose and contentment. It is not merely measured by wealth, power, or fame but by the ability to lead a life that aligns with your values and passions.

If you really think about it you achieve success in the little things in life and, personally, they give me more joy and contentment than any luxurious apartment in a skyscraper would.

My point of writing this blog is to take a minute to remind you all to not be so hard on yourself because the world does that for the both of you.

While everybody is running the race to 'make it big' and I know you want to win too, don't forget to appreciate the little moments in life. The first steps of your baby, your baby brother's dance in the annual gathering, your family's monthly dinner meet up, your friend's graduation, for these are the things that make life meaningful. I'm not saying let go of your dream of becoming rich but that definition of rich should include all the non materialistic aspects of life because what a family gossip/ tea spilling session can do, an office presentation can't.

What is more important is how you define success because you need peace, stability and simplicity in life and with in mind, success fora person might be completing  traveling 50 states in 1 year while for another it be getting a promotion and for a third person it might to settle down and getting married by 30. 

You cant measure your success on the basis of what others expect you to have achieved by now, its completely alright to take a break and refocus according to the circumstances in your life but what matters is that YOU are content with where you're going. 

''Real success is not, like, materialistic. It's being where you want to be when you want to be; just living your life how you feel; having an ultimate goal and being able to accomplish it.''
